Tax Breaks Aren't For Everyone

Despite the news yesterday about Governor Jindal approving over $34 million in tax breaks in the next two years for the movie and video gaming industries, ports, sportsmen and gun owners, he vetoed a set of tax breaks for low income housing projects, and employers who hire convicted felons and employers who allow their employees to take time off to participate in their kids school activities. Jindal says that he vetoed these breaks because of budget concerns. The Times-Picayune has the story here.
