According to KATC's Evan Anderson, The Lakes on the Teche is a planned community that will feature varying lot sizes and a mixture of 5 different residential districts with a commercial district. According Kathy Benoit, the real estate agent for the development, the lots are priced between $35,000 and $115,000 and are going fast. They started with 102 and have already sold 27. But be prepared for some strict policies, when I clicked on the covenants and neighborhood restrictions, the document was 168 pages long.
