Ed Ward has a report on NPR's Fresh Air program today about harmonica legend Little Walter. Walter was born, Walter Jacobs, in 1930 in Marksville, La. Ward chronicles the highs and lows of Little Walter's career which included stints with Muddy Waters, and recording national hits for the famed Chess Records label.
