Can't Get Enough Calvin

St. Martinville's (or Catahoula's) own Calvin Borel goes for an unprecedented and unorthodox run at a Jockey Triple Crown this weekend in New York's Belmont Stakes. Borel is attempting to become the first jockey to win horse racing's Triple Crown on two different horses. He, of course, won the Kentucky Derby on Mine That Bird, then took the Preakness on Rachel Alexandra. Now, Borel is back on Mine That Bird for the Belmont. This article in the Times-Picayune by Bob Fortus, chronicles Borel's stay in NYC, which includes taping an appearance on David Letterman, which will air on Friday. How cool is Calvin? Even his fiancee's name is Funk!
