
Somebody once said "you don't need a weather man to know which way the wind blows", and while that's true, I do like having Rob Perillo around telling me about all the other stuff weather does. He and colleagues, Dave Baker and Kari Hall maintain a great weather blog over on
KATC.com. That's where I found out that yesterday's afternoon showers ended a streak of 25 days with no rain in Lafayette. Not only that but yesterday's temperature of 101 broke a record going all the way back to 1930, and was the 12 straight day of 97-102 degree heat. It appears June will go down as one of the 5 hottest months on record. Check it out
