ultoday.com reports that former Ragin' Cajuns Tyrell Fenroy, and Derrick Smith have agreed to contracts with current Canadian Football League champions the Calgary Stampeders. The pair will join fellow Cajun teammate offensive tackle Jesse Newman who was drafted last year by Calgary.
Fenroy originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the NFL’s Chicago Bears, but was unexpectedly released after his first rookie camp. Smith was unable to land an NFL deal and signed directly with Calgary.
