If They're Sent, They'll Be Sent From Here

www. reports that The U.S. Air Force yesterday confirmed that it would locate its new nuclear weapons command at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. The Barksdale base is located just South-East of Shreveport. From the article:
A number of nuclear-related mishaps -- including the unintentional delivery of nuclear-armed cruise missiles from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota to Barksdale -- led to establishment of the command (see GSN, Feb. 3). The installation was selected based on its "ability to provide significant nuclear mission synergy," the Air Force said earlier this year.
