Move Over Rover

Last month we reported that the World's Oldest Dog lives right here in Acadiana in New Iberia and is named Max. Well, he's not officially the record holder, but Max's family has paperwork that shows he is 5 years older than the dog that is currently the record holder so they are petitioning the Guinness Book World Records, who list a wire-haired dachshund in New York named Chanel as the oldest dog. Today, Max's case is now one step closer to that dream becoming a reality as The Huffington Post reports that Chanel has passed on to the big puppy playground in the sky at age 21.
