The "Golden Band from Tigerland" will be inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame this weekend during the halftime show of their game against Vanderbilt and according to the Times-Picayune, is the only college marching band to receive this honor. This weekend's performance will feature "Carnival Time," "Barefootin'," and "Mr. Big Stuff."That's great for LSU and all, but a bit surprising. The Bayou Classic, the huge rival game each November between Southern and Grambling, features arguably the best halftime show in all of college football. In fact, they even host a special "Battle of the Bands" night the Friday night before the game just to show off their talented marching bands.
