Last week an 8 ton cement landmark was installed in it's new permanent home on Congress Street and Walter Pierce of The Independent was there with his video camera to document the event. As he reported back in March, the sculpture was originally in the old LBA Bank building that the Acadiana Center for the Arts is renovating but the city, the ACA, and the contractors worked together to save the piece. The new home for the art is on the traffic island on Congress by the library.
