Louisiana Recognized by CDC

The Centers for Disease Control recently announced that Louisiana has propelled itself from one of the worst states for childhood immunizations to the second best in just two years. In 2006 Louisiana ranked #44 among states for child immunizations to an all time high #2 in 2008. The state Department of Health and Hospitals has made immunizations a priority of late by requiring shots for all kids before school or daycare. They also have a corporate partnership with Walmart called Shots for Tots encouraging immunizations. The Alexandria Town Talk has more.
