World's Oldest Dog Lives in New Iberia

Today's super feel good story of the year is about the worlds oldest dog, Max, who lives in New Iberia. Max was born in 1983 and just celebrated his 26th birthday on Sunday. Owners Janelle and Billy Derouen say he's in great health and attribute it to a consistent diet and stress free living. Until recently another dog in New York was believed to the be the world's oldest dog, but he's a full 5 years younger than Max so the Derouen's have submitted Max's birth certificate to the Guinness Book of World Records and are awaiting confirmation. The Telegraph has the full story, complete with some very priceless quotes from Max's owners. Thank you Kate for hipping us to this great story!
