LDWF Announce $30 Million Program

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will announce today a new $30 million disaster recovery program aimed at assisting fishermen affected by last years hurricanes Gustav and Ike. It is estimated that the total infrastructure and economic loss from hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005 and hurricanes Gustav and Ike in 2008 totaled over $750 million.
