New Exhibit at the ACA

The Artwork of Herman Mhire, a Lafayette artist and former chief curator at the Paul and Lulu Hillard Art Museum, will be on display at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in the main gallery starting this weekend and running through September 26. The exhibit, titled "Altered States" features Mhire's series of large-scale portraits or “hyperfaces” measuring 7 1/2 feet by 5 feet. For more information, visit the Acadiana Center for the Arts website.

  1. Hey -

I don't think Herman has been the curator at the UAM for at least 4 or 5 years.....

  2. Thanks for catching that, yes, Mr. Mhire is now retired from the museum.
