This is one of the most interesting documentaries I've seen in a while. It's about 10 minutes long and discusses the Lake Peigneur sink-hole disaster in 1980. They interview scientists and Jefferson Island officials who retell the story of what it was like to see the lake draining into the salt mine, bringing barges, trees and buildings with it. The force of the water was so great that the Delcambre canal started flowing backwards for days, permanently changing the salinity of the lake. All caused by a 14" drill bit. Amazing and well worth the 10 minutes.
