You Got Yer Mud On?

So, from what I can gather from their website, you go here to drink beer, then drive a vehicle into the mud, spin around, then drive out of the mud and drink more beer. It would be easy to dismiss this activity as the pastime of rednecks (which of course it is), but it also appears to be fun. It's what rowdy folks like to do. I'm not rowdy. I'm just to the mild side of comatose. Nevertheless, the Louisiana Mud Fest made it to the weburbanist.com top 15 list of bizarre parties. It takes place north of Alexandria in Colfax on Labor Day Weekend. So, if you can pry yourself away from the Jerry Lewis Telethon, head north and look for mud. I don't believe an RSVP is required.
