Be Careful When You Bank

An IberiaBank teller and her husband have been arrested for aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary of an 82 year old man and his wife. Lakesha Thomas, 31, worked at an IberiaBank location in Memphis, and after the elderly customer withdrew $208,000 she admits to telling her husband. He and two other men are accused of going to the gentleman's home, entering to demand money and pistol whipping his 82 year old wife. While inside they discovered that there was even more cash and ended up taking off with almost 1/2 million dollars. This is not the first time this customer was assulted with Thomas being responsible. Earlier this year he was robbed after cashing out several certificates of deposit and had $84,000 taken from him. Thomas admitted that she received $20,000 for that tip. An IberiaBank spokesperson said that Thomas no longer works for IberiaBank.
