Teacher Union Files Complaint Against Recruiting Company
NPR's Morning Edition, ran this story on Friday about a complaint filed by the Louisiana Federation of Teachers against Universal Placement International, claiming the company brought teachers from the Philippines to fill shortages in five Louisiana school districts, but then demanded $15,000 from the teachers in administration fees, and 10 percent of their monthly wages for two years.
