Governor Bobby
Jindal has come under scrutiny lately due to the firing of Melody
Teague of the Department of Social Services after she publicly
criticized state
government. The administration says it was because she mishandled the disaster food stamp program during Hurricane Katrina. Now, we don't have a stake in this....don't know
Teague or
Jindal, but simply find it ironic that she was fired for mistakes she may have made four years ago, during the biggest natural disaster our country has ever seen, just one day after she spoke out publicly against
Jindal. Now
state lawmakers are questioning the firing as well. The Advocate has the original story
here and the
Huffington Post sees a pattern of firings and has their take
here.
