State Sales Tax Holiday For Hurricane Preparedness Items
There will be no state sales tax on Hurricane-preparedness items this weekend. Two years ago the Legislature approved an annual sales tax holiday for hurricane preparedness items and supplies such as flashlights and batteries bought on the last Saturday and Sunday in May, before the Atlantic hurricane season officially begins June 1.
