Acadiana = Less Stress

Here's some good economic news - according to the Associated Press, Lafayette Parish and the entire Acadiana region as a whole are some of the least economically stressed areas in the country. They took a look at unemployment, foreclosure, and bankruptcy rates and came up with an 'Economic Stress Index' and in some of the more depressed areas of the country, that stress index is as high as 22, but they list Lafayette Parish as 4.6 thanks in part to our low 3.9% unemployment rate.
