According to The Advocate, Downtown Lafayette could be seeing some aesthetic improvements as early as this fall. Phase 2 of the original Downtown Lafayette Streetscape has been on hold for more than 10 years due to lack of funding, but thanks to a newly approved bond measure, they have the estimated 2 million dollars to move forward with the project. The next phase will concentrate on Jefferson at Lee to Johnston (around The Filling Station and Kellers Bakery). Click here for more information.
