Well it looks like my new Survivor pick got himself into a little bit of trouble here yesterday. Russell Hantz was reportedly in town for Festival International de Louisiane and was arrested for allegedly shoving a female to the ground. Reports also say he was close to a bar he owns downtown (? not sure what that one is, but supposedly he and 'Boo' Bernis, the Lafayette native from Survivor Fiji, are friends...). Anyway, according to TMZ, Hantz claims that this whole thing was just a big misunderstanding and may file suit against the police department. Hantz was released without bail and issued a misdemeanor and must report back to court on June 24.This made me think - Acadiana sure has had it's share of celebrity arrests...Willie Nelson, R Kelly, Nate Newton....yikes.
